Bardenas Reales de Navarra, a lunar escape

Las Bardenas Reales is a 42,500 hectare Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. This means that you will find a space of great biological wealth in which sustainable development is respected.

The landscape of Bardenas Reales is sculpted from a blend of clay, chalk, and sandstone, shaped over time by the forces of water and wind. This natural process has given rise to a mesmerising array of formations including canyons, plateaus, tabular structures, and isolated hills known as cabezos. Urban development is notably absent in this region, with vegetation being sparse. The intermittent streams that crisscross the land typically run dry for the majority of the year, their flow dictated by seasonal changes.
